About Lenox Property Management

A locally owned Providence real estate company. We manage condo associations, commercial buildings and rental property, and we help buyers get a building right before they own it.

Who we are Decades in this market, under one roof

Lenox Property Management opened in 2009, and Lenox Realty Group followed in 2010. Both grew out of years our founders, Gabe and Nicola Francis, had already spent buying, renovating, renting and selling property in Providence, going back to the late 1990s.

Today we manage condominium associations, commercial and mixed-use buildings, and multifamily rentals across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our brokers have sold student rentals on College Hill, multi-building packages on Federal Hill, condos on the East Side and commercial buildings in East Providence. We've rebuilt properties from the inside out, leased up new downtown apartments, and helped buyers line up financing.

That range is the point. After decades here we know the contractors, lenders, attorneys, insurance agents and inspectors who do good work in this market, and we bring them to every property we take on.

Our story It started with one book and a few multi-families

How a web hosting job, a housing bust and a rental website turned into Lenox.

  1. 1997

    Gabe Francis reads Rich Dad Poor Dad and the real estate bug bites. Before long he is buying multi-family houses in Providence while working in web hosting at AT&T.

  2. 2001

    The dot-com boom goes bust. Gabe moves to Providence and makes real estate his full-time job.

  3. 2005

    Convinced the housing boom will end badly, Gabe sells every property he owns, his own house included, and turns to rentals. He didn't want to sell people homes he thought they would someday lose.

  4. 2006

    Gabe and Nicola Francis build Rentprov.com and open their first office on Westminster Street. No one else in Providence was focused on rentals, and the business took off.

  5. 2009

    A customer buys the rental office. Gabe and Nicola miss the real estate side, so they open Lenox Property Management, and Lenox Realty Group follows in 2010 for sales and leasing.

  6. Today

    More than 15 years on, we look after property across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. We're still small enough to care and large enough to take on any project.
